We were so blessed to be invited to teach at the "Intensivo de Missões"–the Missions Intensive! As you read here, please remember that whatever we do, and wherever we go, you play a vital role, and you share in the joys of harvest!
The first night of the “Missions Intensive, with about 140 students attending from all over Brazil. Not all are young. One man in his 50s came in his wheel chair. The economy is in rough shape here. Normally 200 to 300 attend.

You may not know...
This is an intensive missionary training that our network of churches does every January. To be clear, this is not “our baby”– we just help teach. Many other people plan this event and many others teach. It is powerful!
I was asked to teach the first session, at 6:45AM Monday, and two other sessions later in the week. I taught on passion for the lost, on the remaining work/areas to serve, strategy, and determining your specific role in missions. Throughout the week I met individually with many students, doing the most important work of coaching people to the field: answering questions and praying!
Intensive? You betcha! We started each day at 6:45AM, and ended each night around midnight!
In the seat of government is the “Square of the Three Powers:” Brazil's Presidential/Executive offices (pictured), the Congress (to the left, but not seen), and the Supreme Court (behind me). The students came here to pray for God’s help and blessing for Brazil, to the end that Brazil might be a mighty missionary sending nation.
God LOVES to bless nations that are obedient to Him in sending missionaries into the harvest!
Since the school ended we have been meeting with various pastors to hear the vision God has given and see if we can help in any way. For some pastors and churches, sending a missionary is a brand new thing! We also meet with our missionaries to find out where things stand with them in the process of getting to the field. Our home church here expects to field a team to an unreached Muslim group this year.
Please continue praying with us! We need to get these folks out on the field ASAP!
